Delays, Closures, Remote Learning Information:
Fall will breeze right on by and next thing you know, it'll be winter! In the event of winter weather, there are policies put in place to keep everyone safe. Please review the guidelines and FAQ from the Davis School District. If you have any questions about the policy, please don't hesitate to ask!
Key thing to remember, you will be called, emailed, and a text message will be sent out BY THE DISTRICT.

Indoor/Outdoor Recess Information:
While at school students may or may not proceed to go outside depending on weather conditions and temperature. Below are the guidelines for INDOOR recess.
The onsite administrator should consider indoor recess when the following conditions exist:
-Temperatures are less than 20 degrees including wind chill
-Air Quality standards set forth by the Utah Department of Health
The air quality guidelines and current conditions can be obtained at

-Wind, rain, freezing rain, snow, sleet, hail – Any time the principal feels it is in the best interest
of the children.
-Conditions of Playground
-Blacktop condition
-Ice build up
-Snow build up
-Frozen fall material in big toys
-Ice and snow build up on play apparatus
-Supervision availability: Indoor activities must have the same standard of supervision as regular
classroom activities.
The decision to keep our students indoors is made based on a site evaluation of the conditions at the facility by the SCHOOL PRINCIPAL. Input for this decision could come from, administrative interns, support services staff, school nurse, PTA, Joint staff, school directors and the Risk Management Dept.
